Friday Favourites #2

5 Favourite Reads

I’ve been a little slack on keeping up with blog posts this week but here are my faves.

The Posts That Shaped The Blogger I Am Now – Franalibi

I love love love when people are proud of themselves and this post is just a huge compilation of pride. I rarely read beauty posts but Fran actually makes me want to read hers so go check out this fabulous list of all of the posts she’s proud of.

Monaco Surprised Me – Call Me Amy

Although I went to Monaco when I was 8, I can’t say I really remember it, other than that I thought it was incredibly beautiful. Amy always takes lovely photos but the ones in this post are really amazing, and now she’s made me want to spend all my savings on a trip to Monaco so thanks Amy!

How Do I Want To Be Remembered – No Light Without Darkness

I loved this post so much. I am also so terrified of leaving no lasting legacy and Zoe managed to put this into words so beautifully. Definitely a great read for all you existential dread pals.

My Yoga Evolution – Abbey Louisa Rose

As someone who has recently taken up yoga, all this post has done is made me incredibly jealous of Abbey and want to go to a yoga retreat. Honestly, I thought this was the kind of thing people only did in films and books but now I know it’s real, I’m all over it. Particularly the enforced silent time in a morning. Abbey’s trip sounds like perfection so go check it out!

Was Love Island A Feminist Show? – Half Girl Half Teacup

After spending most of last month sobbing because Jess was on holiday, I was really happy to see she was back with new content. I loved watching Love Island this year but it definitely wasn’t without its issues so go check out Jess’s post.

4 Nice Things That Happened

I had a lovely coffee with Vicky from SirVikalot.

Lovely Josh at Whatever Words sent me The Old Man and The Sea so that he can infiltrate more people’s lives with his love of Hemingway.

I hit my best daily views ever on here!

I got my Bloggers Blog Awards ticket and now need to find something to wear!

3 Shows To Watch

Trust Me

I love medical shows so this had me hooked. It’s amount a nurse who needs to get away from her old life so pretends to be a doctor up in Scotland. It’s so good and it’s actually has some humorous moments unlike a lot of BBC dramas!

Diana: In Her Own Words

After last week’s Diana doc, I decided to watch the one everyone had been talking about and woah. I don’t want to get put on some kind of list so all I will say is that I’m backing that conspiracy theory more than ever before.

Orange Is The New Black

After waiting until the OITNB hype had died down I’m finally back on the bandwagon. I’ve heard a lot of bad things about this season and I’m only 3 episodes in but already loving it!

2 Songs To Listen To

All Your Fault: Pt 2 – Bebe Rexha

Since I first saw Bebe Rexha on Pitch Battle (i.e. the best programme of all time), I have been obsessed with playing The Way I Are on repeat. But she’s now released an EP which means I have 5 more songs to play all the time.

13 Beaches – Lana Del Rey

You know when you first listen to an album you have an immediate favourite? Then when you listen a bit more, your favourites shift? I was OBSESSED with Groupie Love from Lana’s new album, Lust For Life but after listening to that a few too many times, I’m loving 13 Beaches.

1 Goal

So last week’s goal was to keep on top of my bullet journal, so last Sunday I spent a huge part of the day organising my week and as a result this week has gone super smoothly.

This week’s goal is to keep my blogging schedule up. I’ve managed to post every day for the past 10 days so let’s keep this going!

Thank you so much for including me, Rachel! I would highly recommend the yoga retreat I went on if you are ever tempted to go! I loved Amy’s Monaco post too, I’ll need to go check out the other blogs you’ve recommended whilst I’m on the train! I still really need to watch the Diana documentary, I watched the movie about her life on Netflix not long ago and it made me so incredibly sad! Congrats on keeping up with such an impressive blog schedule, you go girl!
